Lanie Lane Is Right Up Our Alley

Recently Brisbane was treated to the wonder that is the divine Ms Lanie Lane, when she breezed into our town, smashed a gig out and somehow found the time to be a special guest on Episode 13 of The Minutes Podcast with Mel and Patience.

The following stream of consciousness rant is how I would describe Lanie Lane, cool, nice, cool, fun, cool, good at songs, have I said cool yet?

Lanie Lane dazzled us on The Minutes and very kindly lets us record a special interview with her in character as ‘Vicky’ her inner moll.

In rad news, The Minutes has attracted corporate sponsorship! In the form of Mrs Eyeball, Patience’s cat. She has decided to sponsor us, so in episode 13 we made a zoot review of Mrs Eyeball. Not sure what a Zoot Review is? No worries maybe you’re more of a Brand Power fan, here’s a Zoot Review with Andrew Daddo  Check out ours in Episode 13.

After we recorded Ep 13 with Lanie Lane, Patience made everyone this for lunch, roast vegetables with lentil dhal, we also had some carrot cake before we made The Minutes, but we forgot to take a photo of it, sorry doodz. It was pretty ace.

After we made The Minutes Lanie had a gig that night, and she totez invited us! Here is a pic of us after the gig having fun times featuring Raven - Patience’s lil sister. Photo by John Patterson

In episode 13 we chatted about the following things, How to sound old. Mel met Terry Hodgson. Patience has seen American TV. Advice from Barry Buttle. High school fight story. Under age bar visits. Patience did a liquor licence course. Headless mouse drunk. Mel and Patience have both embarrassed themselves in Canberra. Horses. Lanie recorded a song with Jack White.

Oh this is a fun pic of Patience doing a Vox Pop with Raven after Lanie’s gig.
