This Vanity Fair-esque, sexually charged shot of us was taken after we recorded Episode 12 of The Minutes with Kate Cooper from An Horse we’d all had a bit too much excitement by this stage, because Kate brought a tray of lamos with her! What a woman! Excellent manners and great taste in cake.
We had a lovely ladies lunch post recording, Patience made a killer salad with quinoa and fresh Borlotti Beans, whereas Mel bought a roast vegetable, chicken and cous cous salad. Who says you won’t win friends with salad? Prolly salad h8ters.
Kate Cooper is a pint sized lady who packs a punch when it comes to telling biff yarns, her fight story featured spitting, the slamming of van doors, something for everyone really.
Ms Cooper also told us about what it was like performing on The David Letterman Show! Amaze. Her and Patience put the diss out on North American bakeries, apparently they don’t even know what a salad roll is. That shit cray cray.
Before Kate’s arrival Patience and Mel kept it old school by going one for one with rad az primary school stories, Mel buried a biscuit in the adventure playground and Patience rode her bike home from school, in the middle of the day! Brazen.
As is traditional on The Minutes the usual suspects get a mention, Mrs Eyeball, Barry Buttle. Confused? New to The Minutes? Check out our comprehensive glossary detailing all the slang we drop and people we talk about on the podcast. HERE.
Kate Cooper was a delightful guest, she’s a bloody charmer from way back.

Meet New York’s own Ben Marshall drummer for The Grates, tall dude, honorary Aussie and the latest guest on The Minutes with Mel and Patience. Ben Marshall. What can I say? Ladies want to watch him carry heavy things, men want to be him and wolves instinctively treat him as their pack leader.
During his brief but excellent time on The Minutes Ben told us about Fourloko a now banned alcoholic energy drink from the US that urban dictionary calls ‘Cocaine in a Can’. Each can has the equivalent caffeine of 6 cups of coffee! 2 standard drinks and 60 grams of sugar. Ben fills us in on what slamming one down on New Years Eve is like.
Mr Marshall, no slouch in the story department tell us not one, but two cracker fight stories, thus adding his patch to the quilt of biff yarn traditions on The Minutes.
Seeing as Ben was nailing his stories and making us laugh we let him stay on to help us out with ‘You’re Welcome’, our advice segment. During ‘You’re Welcome’ Ben’s cool head and good bloke approach to life added a refreshing masculine tone to the segment.
Ben Marshall is top darts.

Thanks to John Patterson of The Grates and his advanced computer skills we have this excellent The Minutes ringtone. The idea to make our theme song into a ringtone was originally suggested by The Minutes listener @littleweirdguy. Please enjoy and you’re welcome. Also TAKE THAT CRAZY FROG.
